Morphing¶
On the four corners of each touchpad you can save a preset of a sound between which you can blend in real time. This parameter morphing system allows for easy but deep and expressive timbral changes during a live performance. Almost all sound engine, audio effects and assignable modulator parameters are morphing using the touchpads.
Creating morphing presets¶
The value of a morphing parameter is calculated by balancing the four values stored on each corner of a touchpad. If your finger is closer to corner X, the value of the morphing parameter will be closer to whatever value is store on corner X.
When you turn an encoder to change the value of a morphing parameter, its value is no longer controlled by the touchpad and is controlled by the encoder: this parameter is now overridden and a grey box drawn behind the parameter name and value on the screen.
To store a sound on one of the corners of the touchpad, press the corresponding store preset key (▛, ▜, ▙ or ▟). The current values of all parameters will be stored on that specific corner and none of the morphing parameters are overridden anymore.

By pressing revert all overridden parameter are cleared and go back to following the touchpad.
Pressing to_all will store only the overridden values on all four corners.
Tip
The revert function can be used to create sudden sonic changes in your performance. By slowly changing the parameters with the encoders the sound will gradually change. Once you have reached the moment where you want the sound to suddenly change, press revert the sound will again be what it was before.
Touchpad motion recording¶
Morphing movements you make with your finger on the touchpad can be automated with motion recording. Up to 24 motions can be stored and can be selected using morph+#, and motion recordings can be up to about 40 seconds longs. In slot 0 no motion recording can be stored. If you touch the touchpad while a motion recording is playing your finger controls the morphing as it takes priority over the motion record.
Press and hold record on an empty morph slot to record a new motion. When record is released the recording is stopped and it will start looping the recorded motion.
You can also overdub by holding down record while an existing motion is looping. Note that it will only overwrite parts of the existing motion while you are actually touching the touchpad.
