Getting started

On this page we’ll help you quickly get started with your first PolyPulse track.

Setting up

  • Connect the power supply to the PolyPulse.

  • Connect headphones to the 1/2 output or use TRS / balanced cables to connect output 1 and 2 to a mixer, sound card or directly to speakers.

Making music

  • Press clock to start the main clock.

  • Turn up the volume of track 1.

  • Press the corresponding button [A] to enable the pulse.

  • Use encoder X to select a pulse to edit

  • Turn the encoders [B] to change the rhythm and octave of the pulse.

  • Press edit+notelist to open the note list editor:

  • Hold no until the note list is empty.

  • Press notes on the keyboard [C] to a melody to the note list.

  • Press yes to exit the note list editor.

  • Turn an encoder on the right side [D] change the sound engines parameters:

  • Use encoder Y to select one of the envelopes and the three encoders next to it [E] to change the envelope shape.

Saving your project

  • Press files to open the file browser.

  • Use X and yes to find a suitable place to store your project.

  • Press edit, scroll to save new file using X and press yes.

  • Enter a name using the numpad and press yes twice to save your project.

Shutting down the PolyPulse

  • Press edit+settings.

  • Scroll to shutdown PolyPulse with X and press yes.

  • Press yes again to confirm.

Continuing with your project

To quickly resume working with the project most recently loaded/saved:

  • Press edit+settings.

  • Press yes to select load last project.

  • Press yes again to confirm.
